At age 15, pianist/composer/songwriter Emily Bear is a true sensation. Having made her professional debut at age five, she has since performed at many of the worlds most well-known venues. Her love for all musical styles encompasses pop, classical, jazz, and everything in-between. Mentored by jazz legend Quincy Jones, Bear was the youngest musician to ever receive the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award at age six and is the 2016 recipient of the ASCAP Herb Alpert Jazz Composer of the Year Award. Together with bassist Peter Slavov and drummer Mark McLean, Bear returns to Strings to perform jazz favorites and original compositions from her newly released album.
